What is MyCookChildren's?

MyCookChildren's allows you to see parts of your health plan records on-line. It lets you use the Internet in a secure way to help manage and receive information about the services you get with Cook Children’s Health Plan. With MyCookChildren's, you can use the Internet to:

  • View your or your child’s eligibility.
  • View your claims for services you or your child had.
  • View your or your child’s authorizations.
  • Contact Customer Service.

What if I am a Member of Cook Children’s Health Plan and a patient of Cook Children’s?

If you are both a Member of Cook Children’s Health Plan and a patient of Cook Children’s, you will have extra features on your MyCookChildren's that will allow you to:

  • Make appointments with your Cook Children’s provider.
  • View your health summary from the MyCookChildren’s electronic health record.
  • View test results.
  • Request prescription renewals.
  • Communicate electronically and securely with your Cook Children’s provider.

As a Member of Cook Children’s Health Plan, you will be able to:

  • View your or your child’s eligibility.
  • View your claims for services that you or your child had.
  • View your or your child’s authorizations.
  • Contact Customer Service.

If you are no longer a Member of Cook Children’s Health Plan, you will only be able to see past information.

Is there a fee to use MyCookChildren's?

MyCookChildren's is a free service for Cook Children’s patients and Cook Children’s Health Plan Members.

How do I sign up?

All Members need a MyCookChildren's activation code to sign up. This code will let you log in and create your own username and password. If you did not get an activation code by mail, you may call Customer Service at 1-800-964-2247 to get one.

You may call Customer Service at 1-800-964-2247 to request a new, secure password. You may also click the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page to reset your password online.

Where can I update my personal information (e.g., home address, e-mail or change my password)?

Log into MyCookChildren's and go to Messaging. Select “Member Updates” from the drop down menu. This will allow you to send a message to Customer Service where they will update your information.

How can I request a sign language or face-to-face interpreter?

Log into MyCookChildren's and go to Messaging. Select “Request interpreter services” from the drop down menu. This will allow you to send a message to Customer Service where they will schedule an interpreter for you.

How is MyCookChildren's secure?

We take great care to be sure your health information is kept private and secure. Access to information is controlled through secure activation codes, personal usernames, and passwords. Each person controls their password, and the account cannot be accessed without that password. Unlike regular e-mail, all MyCookChildren's messaging is done while you are securely logged on to our website.

What is your Privacy Policy?

MyCookChildren's is owned and operated by MyCookChildren's and is fully compliant with federal and state laws that relate to your privacy. Your name and e-mail address will be treated with the same care and privacy given your health records and will never be sold or leased by MyCookChildren's.

I was logged out of MyCookChildren's, what happened?

We aim to protect your privacy and security of your information. While logged into MyCookChildren's, if your keyboard remains idle for 15 minutes or more, you will be logged out of MyCookChildren's. We recommend you log out of your MyCookChildren's session if you need to leave your computer for even a short period of time.

My activation code does not work, what should I do?

For your security, your activation code expires after 30 days and is no longer valid after the first time you use it. If you have problems or need a new activation code, call Customer Service at 1-800-964-2247.
